We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our legal team as a Paralegal/Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will provide legal support to our core business operation, while also assisting with administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Conduct legal research on various topics
- Assist with the preparation and management of pending litigation and arbitration matters
- Prepare and maintain legal files and databases, including document management and e-discovery
- Monitor and track deadlines and appointments, and maintain the legal team's calendar
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and outside counsel
- Coordinate and complete registrations for state contractor’s licenses and state registrations
- Provide administrative support to the C-Suite executives, including but not limited to drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings, and handling travel arrangements
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field
- At least 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a construction-related field
- Knowledge of legal research tools and software, including DocuSign, LexisNexis, and Pacer
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
